TRAINING PROGRAMS

Build Practical, Certified Competency at Every Level

Operator competency is the single biggest factor in boiler efficiency, safety, and longevity. ISOTEX’s structured training programs are designed to build practical, certified competency at every level — from new operators to boiler in-charges and statutory certificate holders. Training is available at ISOTEX’s Ahmedabad training centre or on-site at customer facilities.

Trained operators deliver 8–15% better fuel efficiency and significantly lower breakdown frequency. ISOTEX training pays for itself

Structured Training Levels

ISOTEX offers four structured levels of boiler operator and maintenance training, each building on the previous. All levels include practical hands-on sessions, written assessment, and an ISOTEX certificate of completion.

Level Program Name Duration Target Audience
Level 1
Basic Operator Training
3 Days
New Boiler Operators, Plant Technicians
Level 2
Advanced Operator Traingin
5 Days
Experienced engineers, shift supervisors
Level 3
Maintenance Personnel Training
5 Days
Maintenance engineers, fitters, welders
Level 4
Boiler In-Charge / Statutory Training
7 Days
Boiler in-charge, statutory certificate candidates

Level 1 — Basic Operator Training (3 Days)

Boiler Fundamentals

Steam generation principles, boiler types, key components, and working principles of steam and thermic fluid systems

Safe Start-Up & Shutdown

Step-by-step startup and shutdown procedures, pre-operation checklists, and safety precautions for daily operation.

Routine Operating Checks

Water level monitoring, pressure control, draft control, fuel feeding, and daily log sheet completion.

Basic Safety & Emergency Response

Hazard identification, emergency shutdown, low water level response, and pressure relief procedures

Level 2 — Advanced Operator Training (5 Days)

All Level 1 Content (Refresher)

Comprehensive refresher of Level 1 fundamentals with practical assessment before progressing to advanced topics.

Combustion Optimization

Fuel-air ratio control, excess air adjustment, flue gas analysis, and practical combustion tuning techniques

Water Treatment & Chemistry

Boiler water quality standards, treatment chemical dosing, blowdown management, and scale/corrosion prevention.

Efficiency Monitoring

Steam output monitoring, specific fuel consumption calculation, efficiency KPI tracking, and energy log management.

Advanced Troubleshooting

Diagnosis of common operational issues: water carryover, priming, corrosion, tube failures, and instrumentation faults.

SMARTWIZ IoT Operation

Remote monitoring interface operation, alarm management, data logging, and SMARTWIZ dashboard interpretation.

Level 3 — Maintenance Personnel Training (5 Days)

Pressure Part Inspection

Visual and physical inspection of drums, headers, tubes, and pressure vessels — what to look for and when to escalate.

Tube Plugging & Repair

Practical training on tube identification, plugging procedures, and field repair techniques for emergency situations.

Refractory Maintenance

Refractory inspection, patching, castable repair, and pre-heat/cure procedures for boiler refractory systems.

Safety Valve & Fitting Maintenance

Safety valve testing, setting, dismantling, and refurbishment. Water gauge, pressure gauge, and fitting maintenance.

Rotating Equipment Maintenance

ID/FD/PA fan maintenance, bearing inspection, impeller cleaning, and coupling alignment procedures.

Planned Maintenance Systems

Preventive maintenance scheduling, maintenance log management, spare parts planning, and shutdown planning.

Level 4 — Boiler In-Charge / Statutory Training (7 Days)

Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR)

Comprehensive IBR statutory knowledge: regulations, schedules, inspection obligations, and boiler in-charge legal responsibilities.

Boiler Documentation & Records

Statutory logbook maintenance, IBR form completion, inspection records, and regulatory compliance documentation.

Risk Assessment & Safety Management
