OPERATING PRINCIPLE

How the System Works

The ISOTEX Ash Handling System follows a four-stage continuous process — from furnace ash collection through to safe disposal or beneficial reuse.

01

🔥  ASH COLLECTION

Bottom ash and fly ash are collected from the furnace grate, flue gas ducts, and economiser hoppers continuously during boiler operation

02

💨  PNEUMATIC / MECHANICAL CONVEYING

Collected ash is conveyed via pneumatic or mechanical (drag chain / screw) conveyors to a central storage silo or disposal point.

03

🏗️  ASH CONDITIONING

Dry ash is conditioned with water (if required) to reduce dust, prevent airborne dispersion, and meet safe disposal or reuse standards.

04

🚛  DISCHARGE & DISPOSAL

Conditioned ash is discharged for safe disposal, landfill, or beneficial reuse (e.g., brick manufacturing, cement additive, road fill).

KEY CAPABILITIES

Features & Benefits

Engineered for performance, compliance, and long-term operational reliability across demanding industrial environments.

⚙️
Fully Automated Operation
PLC-controlled ash handling with minimal manual intervention — continuous removal without interrupting boiler operation.
💨
Pneumatic & Mechanical Conveying
Both pneumatic (dilute/dense phase) and mechanical (drag chain, screw, belt) conveying options available to suit plant layout.
🌡️
High Temperature Handling
Designed to handle hot bottom ash up to 600 °C with water-cooled conveyer
🌿
Dust Free Operation
Enclosed conveying and conditioning systems ensure zero dust spillage — keeping the plant environment clean and compliant.
📦
Fly Ash & Bottom Ash
Handles both fly ash from ESP/bag filters and heavy bottom ash from the furnace grate — complete integrated system.
🔁
Ash Reuse Ready
System designed to facilitate ash collection for beneficial reuse in construction, cement, or agriculture applications.
🔧
Low Maintainence Design
Robust components with wear-resistant liners, easy-access inspection ports, and long service intervals reduce downtime.
📐
Custom Layout Configuration
Modular design adaptable to new or existing boiler house layouts — single or multiple boiler configurations.
