Product Overview

Precise, Safe, High-Temperature Thermal Oil Heating

Purpose-built for industries demanding precise, uniform, and continuously adjustable process heat, ISOTEX Hot Oil Boilers combine advanced burner technology, multi-pass coil design, and SMARTWIZ IoT automation to deliver exceptionally stable thermal oil temperatures with minimal operator intervention.

As a complete turnkey solution — from burner and firebox through thermal oil coil, expansion vessel, pump set, control panel, and SMARTWIZ monitoring — every Hot Oil Boiler is factory-assembled and pre-commissioned at our Ahmedabad facility before dispatch, ensuring rapid, reliable site installation.

ISOTEX Hot Oil Boilers — part of the Ecotherm Series — deliver high-temperature process heat through clean oil or gas combustion, circulating thermal oil as the heat transfer medium at temperatures up to 300°C. Unlike steam boilers, hot oil systems operate at near-atmospheric pressure even at high temperatures — dramatically improving safety and eliminating the risk of high-pressure steam explosions in the plant.

Fuel Options - Multi-Capability

The ISOTEX Unitherm Thermosyphon Boiler is available in multiple firing configurations, offering unmatched fuel flexibility across solid, liquid, and gaseous fuels to match every industry’s availability, cost, and emission requirements.

Biomass Fuels

🪨
Cotton Stalk/ Mustard Stalk
Agricultural crop residue from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan; high-GCV waste available at negligible cost post-harvest — suitable for stationary and dumping grate combustion systems on hot oil heaters.
🌾
Rice Husk
GCV ~3,000–3,200 kCal/kg
  • High-silica agro-waste from rice milling, one of India’s most abundant and affordable biomass fuels — compatible with pinhole grate and FBC combustion systems on hot oil heaters.
🎍
Sugarcane Bagasse
~2,100–2,400 kCal/kg (dry);
Fibrous residue from sugar mills, available in high volumes near sugar belts — ideal for hot oil heaters co-located with sugar industry and ethanol plants
🪵
Wood Chips & Wood Waste
GCV ~3,200–3,800 kCal/kg
Forestry and sawmill wood offcuts, chips, and bark, abundantly available near wood processing clusters in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh — most common biomass fuel for hot oil systems in plywood, paper, and chemical industries
🥜
Groundnut Shell
~4,200 kCal/kg

High-calorific agro-waste, from groundnut processing in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh; excellent fuel quality with low ash content — ideal for hot oil systems near edible oil processing clusters.

🟫
Biomass Pellets & Briquettes
GCV 3,800–4,500 kCal/kg

Densified agro-waste pellets (rice husk, mustard stalk, cotton stalk), automated feeding, clean combustion, and ease of storage — premium biomass fuel for solid-fuel hot oil systems.

🫒
De-Oiled Cake (DOC)
GCV ~3,500–4,000 kCal/kg
Residue from edible oil expeller plants (groundnut cake, mustard cake), directly available from own plant operations in edible oil, dal mill, and oil refining industries.

Coal & Lignite Fuels

Indonesian / South African Steam Coal
GCV 4,500–5,500 kCal/kg

Imported thermal coal with consistent, low moisture, low ash — most widely specified coal grade for FBC and stoker-fired hot oil systems in chemical, polyester, and polymer plants.

🪨
Indian Non-Coking Coal (NCC
GCV 3,500–4,500 kCal/kg

Domestic coal from CIL sources, (GCV basis); cost-effective fuel for large-capacity hot oil systems where biomass availability is limited — FBC combustion recommended for high-ash Indian coal grades.

🟫
Lignite
GCV ~2,800–3,400 kCal/kg

Low-rank coal from Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu lignite fields, high moisture content requires FBC or dumping grate combustion — very low cost per kCal for plants in lignite-producing regions.

Char / Coke Oven By-Products
GCV ~2,800–3,400 kCal/kg

Char and coke by-products from steel and chemical plants; combustible industrial waste streams available at low cost — engineered combustion systems designed for high-fixed-carbon, high-ash solid fuels.

Solid Fuel Combustion Systems for Hot Oil Heaters

ISOTEX solid-fuel-fired hot oil systems use proven combustion technologies — selected based on the specified solid fuel characteristics, required capacity, and emission compliance requirements.

Stationary / Travelling Grate (Stoker)

For wood chips, coal, briquettes, and larger biomass fuels; robust mechanical grate design for continuous solid fuel feeding with consistent combustion — capacities 4 to 15 Lac kCal/hr.

Stationary / Travelling Grate (Stoker)

For wood chips, coal, briquettes, and larger biomass fuels; robust mechanical grate design for continuous solid fuel feeding with consistent combustion — capacities 4 to 15 Lac kCal/hr.

Pinhole Grate (Fine Biomass)

Optimised for fine biomass fuels: rice husk, paddy straw fines, and agro-dust — prevents grate blockage from fine particles while maintaining efficient combustion and consistent thermal oil temperature.

Dumping Grate (High-Moisture Fuels)

Heavy-duty system for high-moisture, high-ash biomass: wet bagasse, green crop waste, and high-silica agro-residue requiring extended residence time for complete combustion.

Multi-Fuel Flexible Combustor (MFC)

ISOTEX proprietary multi-fuel combustor handles mixed biomass and coal — switching between solid fuels without combustion system modification for maximum fuel procurement flexibility.

Bubbling Bed (AFBC)

Advanced bubbling fluidised bed for biomass pellets, mixed agro-waste, and high-moisture biomass — efficiency up to 85% on NCV basis with consistent combustion across variable fuel quality.
